12 hour rowathon - raising money for the neonatal unit
On Saturday 4th March Glyn Doggett and Andrew Hall (dads from the Neonatal Unit Families Group) set up two rowing machines (very kindly loaned by www.thehubletchworth.com) in the entrance of the Lister Hospital (near WHSmiths) and kept at least one going for 12 hours between 9am - 9pm.
They didn't do this alone and were joined by a variety of people from parents of children born on the unit to hospital staff and even other hospital visitors.
The event was fantastic and at last count, raised £2,287.41
Glyn and Andrew would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part and the many that donated their time and money.
Keep an eye out for more events of this kind which we hope to organise later in the year.
